Is it possible that something is wrong with the download package? I updated an install with the code tagged as 2.0.8RC2 on GitHub and this issue does not pop up there.

Please close this issue — it was related to the faulty ZIP download package.
This issue is closed.
If you upload a file (using the English as your language), the “remove file” link displays as “undefined”.
I thought that this issue has been solved long ago.
