It may be an idea to propose this update to the core (as I see it that way) to get it in the final release of 2.2 Extension developers can then update their extensions to provide the functionality of ‘not’ regexp.

IMHO we need to be getting things like this nailed before 2.2 development is ceased.

Here we go, not-regexp support added in this commit. A very big thanks to wisolman. It has been added to all core fields (ie. ones included with Symphony).

The preferred syntax is not-regexp, but it will support notregexp as well incase anyone has implemented the solution as detailed in this thread.

I’ll be looking at adding negation logic to the Select Box Link field too.

Brendo, if you need help with the SBL, please let me know.

I’ll have a bit of time next week;)

Has this not yet been integrated to the official repo yet?

{$category!all}

Isn’t that basically the same as

{$category:all}

I wanted to filter out empty entries (where one field was empty) I found that sorting by regexp: ^{$urlvariable} if no urlvariable was there, only returned entries with something, so that was my work around for checking for not empty.

Moved.
